About
Technology policy where it hits the newsroom — the crevices, the fringes, and the filings nobody amplifies.
TechWatch turns the raw tech-policy record into a daily brief for newsrooms. It leads with news tech — AI training on news archives, AI-mediated search and publisher traffic, platform revenue-sharing and gatekeeping: the policy that decides whether newsrooms get paid, get traffic, and keep control of their archives. Then the wider record: TRAI and MeitY consultations, CERT-In directions, Patent Office guidelines, data and tech bills before Parliament, FOSS and standards filings. Not a rewrite of the news: the source itself, before it is news anywhere. It covers the crevices and fringes the hype cycle skips.
Honest about the preview
This is a working scaffold. The collect→brief engine (shared with the other Watch products) vendors in next; the source adapters above are registered, not yet built. The tool advises; it never decides.
